New website launch, and a free introductory offer (valid until 8th May 2015)
And so somehow the painting was completed, the carpets were laid, the furniture put in place, and the doors opened.
The technology is (finally) all in place, and we have Full and Part-time tenants, are getting ready to run some training courses, have hosted some Boardroom meetings, and it’s starting to feel like a ‘real’ office! The reviews we have had so far have been fantastic, and we are continuing to get good interest in using the offices. The Full time offices are already being used by around 12 people regularly now, and there are some regular coworkers who come in for a few hours.
Hard to believe it has been only 5 weeks since opening day, and I am already looking forward to the Office Christmas Party, as small business owners so often miss out on such an event! Come and join up for your membership to get an invite, and join in the fun! The benefits of membership can be seen HERE , including 20% discount on all room hire.
And somehow – it all came together, and the Opening Night was Friday 16th January 2015. Given that my laptop crashed and died in an untimely manner on 2nd December 2014, I then flew to Scotland on 4th December and spent the remainder of the year there, I sometimes wonder how it all happened?! – and then I remember all the support from friends, family and colleagues – all of which served as further confirmation that this collaborative community was indeed the right place to open this business centre. Having the local artwork displayed at the Opening Night was a very proud and exciting moment for me, as this was always part of my vision – to give local artists the opportunity to showcase their work to local business people.
This project is still in progress, although I do already have one or two pieces in the centre already, but I look forward to having many more on display, and for sale in the not too distant future.
Amazing going back into my ‘archives’ – these were my first Newsletters starting back in July 2014. I was at the point of getting firm expressions of interest for the business centre, by asking people to engage with a Crowdfunding Campaign, allowing interested people to pay upfront for memberships and other services. The crowdfunding campaign only ran for 60 days, but gave us some great indication of the types of services people were looking for, as well as getting us the interest from those people who became the first Full and Part-time office tenants.
Have a read if you are interested in seeing the progress we made between 1st July 2014 and the Opening Day of 19th January 2015 – less than 7 months later! Phew – I’m exhausted thinking back…..
By November 2014, we were holding a second viewing of the commercial property we felt had the required amenities and layout that was needed. The view was a bit of a selling point for us, and to this day I never tire of taking people in to see the view from the Boardroom on a clear day (of which we are lucky to have many in this beautiful area!)
