Opening and running a coworking space for 6 years highlighted the consistent issues I was seeing small businesses struggling with, and I have been engaged as a General Manager for small businesses since 2020.

Beginning my career as a Customer Service and Helpdesk Manager for almost 10 years, I progressed to running my own business in 2005. I started my first business as a Virtual Assistant, and after moving to Australia in 2011, I quickly identified a gap in the market for people to learn about, and benefit from, collaboration.
I then opened and ran a coworking company for 6 years. This experience further highlighted the consistent issues I was seeing small businesses struggling with, and I have been engaged as a General Manager for small businesses since 2020.
This has enabled me to have a bigger impact on growth and stability for my clients, utilising my skills and strengths.

My key role with my clients is to take them from being an individual consultant who is very good at what they do, to becoming a business with a team of professionals behind them, doing the things that the business owner can’t or shouldn’t be doing any more.   • Finding & managing resources to suit your business requirements (e.g. design, finance, marketing, website, admin)

Online support:

  • Monitor your online reputation
  • Systemise for future reference/use in marketing or other projects
  • SEO (Search Engine Optimisation, basic – improving the quality and quantity of website traffic to the website and/ or social platforms from search engines such as Google. This is done by identifying the best keywords, advising on, or editing blog writing, newsletters, social posts/content optimisation)
  • Set up analytics report for website, social media

Identify opportunities to improve on socials/marketing, such as

  • Submitting blogs to appropriate sites, depending on your industry and expertise
  • Utilising other sites for relevant links/blogs/reports etc.

Financials

  • Oversight
  • Cost savings – looking at where cost savings might be made
  • Budget monitoring (basic P&L)
  • Working with bookkeeper

Customer Relationship Management

  • Help you best utilise the CRM you already have; or
  • Set one up and demonstrate the effectiveness and benefits of having and using one.

  • Reporting to monitor growth and movement towards agreed targets/KPI’s
  • Monthly meetings for accountability, tracking progress and strategic oversight
