I create safe spaces where you can be honest about work and life, and discover sustainable ways forward you can feel proud of – through stories, systems and courageous conversations.
Expect perspective, partnership, and a sense of practical calm – no rush, no judgement, no unnecessary complexity.
Based in Brisbane, Central Business Associates supports small business owners through practical, collaborative business support delivered both locally and remotely across Australia.
This is a safe, private space to speak honestly about what’s really going on – at work, in business, and in life. There’s no need to perform, defend, or tidy things up before you arrive.
We begin exactly where you are.
From there, we work together to gain perspective, steady the foundations, and discover sustainable next steps that fit your real life – not someone else’s definition of success.
This work is thoughtful, human, and grounded.
It’s for people who care about integrity, sustainability, and the experience of the people they serve – not quick wins, growth at any cost, or surface‑level fixes.
If you’re looking for shortcuts, hype, or someone to tell you what to do, this probably won’t be the right fit. If you’re looking for somewhere to tell the truth and work things through properly, you’re in the right place.
Most people who find their way here are carrying one (or more) of these quietly heavy things:
You’re doing so much, wearing all the hats, spinning all the plates… and yet nothing feels settled.
The To-do list is growing arms and legs. Your brain is going round in circles trying to make simple decisions. You’ve probably tried a few new platforms along the way – the ones that promised to fix everything.
You don’t need another platform.
You need space to step back and make sense of what’s really going on.
You’re capable, smart and resourceful.
You’ve built this business from the ground up – surely you should be able to fix this too?
I know that voice well because it was mine, a few years ago.
It’s the same story I hear from so many small business owners who struggle quietly, carrying it alone, and edging closer to burnout – somehow fearful of asking for help.
Not because they’re stubborn – but because they care.
Maybe not financially – but emotionally. Energetically. Mentally.
You’re tired in a way sleep doesn’t seem to fix, and Monday morning is starting to feel like there’s lead weights in your usually springy step.
The business you built that was supposed to support your life and give you flexibility is starting to compete with it.
Something needs to change.

Here’s something I wholeheartedly believe – needing support isn’t a sign of weakness.
And it’s one of the biggest things holding back hard-working, caring small business owners – because they wait far too long.
The people who do this work best aren’t the ones who carry everything alone.
They’re the ones who know when to pause, get perspective, and ask for help before things get chaotic.
You don’t have to have the right words, or know what kind of help you need yet.
And you don’t have to be “ready”.
You just need a place where you can put things down for a moment – and start from there.
Yes, I like to think about my work as a house, and you are on the Home Page, so…
A single space with different rooms, each with a specific purpose. You don’t have to visit every room. You simply go where you need to be (which is what I also do every day, depending on my workload and energy levels)..
This is where I write – books, blogs and reflections that explore my experiences and perspectives on work, life, introversion, equity, burnout, and the human cost of how we organise ourselves.
Many people arrive here first, recognising something they haven’t quite had words for yet.
This is where I work alongside small business owners to untangle complexity, strengthen foundations, and bring perspective to how their business actually operates.
The focus is always sustainability – building work to support your life, not consume it.
Occasionally, I send out invites to the Dining Room for carefully held, courageous conversations about hard topics – spaces built on trust, respect, and the belief that better understanding is possible.
It’s all one house. A place for honesty, perspective, and sustainable next steps.
We move slowly enough to tell the truth, and practically enough to make change stick.
I work this way because I know how hard it can be to say the real thing out loud – especially when you care deeply, carry responsibility, or are used to holding things together for everyone else.
I believe that sustainable change begins with safety, perspective, and honest conversations. Not with pressure or pretence.
My role isn’t to give you the answers or the cheat sheet. It’s to create the environment where you can hear your own solutions echoing back to you like a reflection – and then support you to act on them in ways that are realistic, ethical, and sustainable.
Stepping back to see what’s really going on, and what actually matters next. Space to untangle complexity, notice patterns, and make clearer decisions without the noise, urgency, or overwhelm.
Working alongside you, not over you. Thoughtful, judgement free support that respects your experience, your values, and your capacity, without hierarchy or pressure.
Turning insight into steady, workable next steps. Grounded support that helps ideas become actions, decisions feel lighter, and progress happens at a pace that fits real life.
“Celia has worked with my business for over 10 years, and owning Nurturing Confidence would be a lot lonelier and a lot more overwhelming without Celia consistently by my side along the way.
I was a one-woman show struggling to hold all the pieces together as my business grew. Celia stepped in, did the work to really understand the unique strengths and challenges of my business and what I wanted it to grow into. Celia set up processes that meant I could focus on doing the delivery that I excel at and over time increasingly step back from the business support work that I don’t enjoy (and am not very good at!). We worked together to bring in the right people to support our growth along the way.
As our General Manager Celia leads our processes and strategy to minimise the time I need to spend on the business, and maximise the value I can bring when I do have that time to spend. Celia consistently adds value through being my strategic sounding board and accountability partner and this allows me to really trust that our business is consistently aligned with our values and tracking towards our version of success.”
